{ S P I R I T U A L }
August 2017: Schedule 30 minutes twice a week for quiet time with God.
I didn't do so bad this time around. One thing I've learned about goal setting is that you shouldn't confine yourself to an agreement that's already been broken. If you've already proved to yourself that you can't do it, set a different goal. This time it was manageable. This time I was actually able to spend time quality time with God at least twice a week. I feel good about this!
September 2017: Attend church every Sunday.

August 2017: Don't buy anything new for the house.
Okay, so we did do a small IKEA run. We got some picture frames, candles, and a lampshade. Otherwise, we've accumulated more stuff through FreeCycle and friends.
September 2017: Create an in-depth wedding budget.

August 2017: Eat dinner at the table twice a week.
We've been pretty bad about eating dinner in front of the TV. Making time to sit across from each other for dinner is just a game-changer. I don't know that we've actually stuck to two evenings a week, but I can confirm that we've had dinner at the table more than we have in my first 2 months here.
September 2017: Start Marriage Prep Saturdays.

August 2017: Have friends over for dinner once.
Technically, we did. We had our friends over for nachos and game night, but it wasn't exactly what I intended with this goal. Firstly, not that we don't love having them over, but I intended to invite over friends we haven't already hosted for dinner. I also hoped to make something a little bit nicer. Something a little more formal. Like actually sitting down to dinner. However, I think we went over to a friend's house for dinner three times this month. It's definitely time we start opening up our home to our friends, especially now that we have a table and chairs in the dining room.
September 2017: Create Dinner Club and host the first gathering.

August 2017: Unplug for the first 30 minutes of the day, every day.
Mostly yes. Even when I don't spend a solid 30 minutes off my phone first thing in the morning, I at least get up out of bed before I start scrolling through all my feeds. That's an improvement, right? However, I've also picked up the bad habit of going through a decent nighttime routine and then rolling over and picking up my phone "one last time". Not good.
September 2017: Read 2 books.

August 2017: Go for a walk twice a week.
Ugh! I don't know what's wrong with me! Maybe it's living in a big city. Maybe it's living on a steep hill. I literally just did not do this. I would check my step count for the day and know exactly how far I would have to walk to get 10,000 steps, but I just wouldn't do it. I wouldn't put on my shoes and step out the door.
September 2017: Go for a walk once a week.

August 2017: Use my 30/30 app to focus on tasks at hand and be more productive through the day.
I've been doing this and I love it. I don't use it every day and I think I still need to work out some of the kinks with using it, but it's been great, especially in the morning. When using the app, I've been great about starting my day with 30 minutes with God, followed by 30 minutes reading. I've even been limiting my time on social media with this app, so it's really helped out a lot. I need to familiarize myself with it a little better and start implementing it into more aspects of my day-to-day life.
September 2017: Practice watercolor once a week

August 2017: Post on the blog twice a week.
I've been doing pretty well, haven't I? In fact, I've been trying to get it to three times a week, posting regularly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 
September 2017: Get more familiar with Lightroom & Photoshop.
